Site Introduction
Peninsula's reputation for academic excellence has been acknowledged by regional and national publications, college and university admissions officers, and judges at competitions in all of our curricular areas. But it is also important to us that students learn to balance their classroom accomplishments with fun and friendships, so we encourage their participation in extracurricular activities, including athletics, the arts, leadership, and community service. Our students are culturally diverse, with almost 50 different world languages spoken among them, but they share a common appreciation for the importance of education in preparing them to become successful adults. The Peninsula High administration, faculty, and staff work every day to create an environment that promotes curiosity, learning, and personal growth. They bring professionalism and compassion to their jobs so that each student can comfortably explore his or her unique talents and abilities. Parent volunteer groups make many programs and activities available by providing many volunteer hours.
