FS
Focus on Success
Building upon a legacy of powerful student achievement.
With the solid foundation of a nationally recognized, distinguished, and world-class educational program, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District will extend our legacy of inspiring the highest levels of student achievement.
VP
Valuing Partnerships
Enhancing our neighborhoods and communities.
Our schools continue to be community centers offering a reflection of our values. We will promote life-long partnerships with our neighbors with whom we share our facilities and resources. We value an aesthetic and quality that complements and exemplifies our pride as a community.
TE
Thoughtful Evolution
Continuing our tradition of innovation.
We will ensure that our schools continue to address the evolving needs of our students, teachers and community. Our facilities will retain their highly valued, unique and historic character; but within their walls, transform into educational environments providing innovative, dynamic spaces and programs to support the changing modes of learning.
SI
Student-Centric Identity
Creating pathways that develop the whole person.
Our educational environment will embrace each student’s sense of inquiry, wonder and pursuit of possibilities. We will support the individual learning profiles of every student by providing opportunities to explore, discover, innovate, learn and succeed.
WB
Well-Being
Providing safe and secure environments.
By utilizing an environmentally sensitive and sustainable approach to design, our schools will be healthy, clean environments that safely connect students to their indoor and outdoor surroundings to enhance learning. We will provide our students with schools that are safe, secure and comfortable places to learn.
RS
Resource Stewardship
Responsibly managing environment and fiscal resources.
We will promote stewardship of our environment by reducing our consumption of energy and water resources through both design and education. We will also make prudent improvements to our facilities that will reduce overall maintenance and operations expenses. This will allow us to focus on our first priority: To afford our students increased options and possibilities for current and future learning opportunities.
